Sarah Radford, designer behind Chic Gems, is a woman whose creative vision has been fueled by her lifelong love affair with the world of style, elegance, and self expression. The style she creates in each of Chic Gem's pieces are known as being chic, elegant and affordably priced; and Chic Gems was created specifically for working professionals that want to look polished, be confident and be glamourous in an effortless manner.

From Passion Project to Jewelry Brand

Sarah began designing Chic Gems, etc., as an outside endeavor in 2002. The inspiration was derived from Sarah's passion for both fashion and design. Sarah had worked in sales and management for brands like Express, BCBG Max Azria, and Judith Ripka Jewelry for many years. In doing so, she realized what contemporary working professional women were looking for; it was the perfect blend of refined jewelry, wearable pieces, and affordable jewelry.

A transition in her corporate job afforded Sarah the chance to pursue her artistic aspirations as a larger venture in 2006. Before long, this personal interest evolved into a national jewelry company with a growing body of fashion enthusiast followers.

Inspired by Classic Glamour and Modern Style

The timelessness of Sarah's jewelry is largely due to the influence from Old Hollywood Glamour as well as style icons such as Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel. The natural world has an obvious effect on many of her pieces through the use of small floral elements and leaves. By using a combination of old school style with new age design Sarah's jewelry looks stylish but never too trendy.

Sarah supports organizations such as The Brain Aneurysm Foundation, My Hope Chest, The Red Pump Project, The Aparecio Foundation, PAVE and CASE, and she makes customized pieces of jewelry to raise money for these organizations so they may continue their good works.
